Manoeuvrable SUPER 1803-5 X impresses on complex surfaces

Work began at a HGV centre in Warwick- a site frequented daily by heavy lorries and large machinery. At Maxi's haulage yard, durability is a non-negotiable.

When the existing asphalt surface required renewal, Pro Surfacing Ltd was commissioned to rehabilitate 3,000m2 using a high-quality, single layer asphalt surface course at 40 mm thickness.

To complete the demanding project within just three days, the team selected the new VOGELE SUUPER 1803-5 X, part of the Dash 5 generation of wheeled pavers. The choice proved ideal for the site's complex winding layout.

With tight corners, narrow sections and numerous manhole covers, the HGV centre presented a real challenge. Here, the wheeled paver demonstrated its key strengths: maximum manoeuvrability combined with paving precision.

The HGV centre presented multiple obstacles:

  • Numerous tight corners

  • narrow access points

  • Constant changes in paving direction

This is where the wheeled paver demonstrated its key advantage: maximum manoeuvrability combined with precision paving.

Equipped with the innovative Pivot Steer steering brake, the SUPER 1803-5 X can reduce its turning radius by more than two meters. This enabled the team to navigate easily around manhole covers and tight bends without compromising paving quality.

"The manoeuvrability of the wheeled machine played a major role in this job" - Operators.
